Tennis
The sunshine brought good tidings to the Bears at the Hurd Tennis Center Sunday afternoon, as No. 25 Baylor women’s tennis won 4-0 against the University of Denver.
In the second-ever meeting between the two teams, the green and gold came up short while trying to make up for a 4-1 loss to the Toreros in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Despite dropping the doubles point, the Bears made a statement and won the first set on all six courts before San Diego staged a comeback.
Baylor earned the doubles point for the fourth time in as many matches in a thorough victory over Nebraska.
Golf
With a postseason run in the rearview mirror, Baylor men’s golf looks to take the success from last year and claw its way back to the national stage.
After one of the best season-long showings in Baylor men’s golf history, Keefer was named the Big 12 Men’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row, becoming the first men’s golfer in Big 12 history to win the award in back-to-back seasons.
