Theologian Frederich Buechner said that vocation “is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” For two Baylor alumni, this has proven to be all too true.
To be recognized by the college you attended could be considered one of the most endearing honors you can receive post-graduation. The Baylor Alumni Association announced its newest honorees on Friday at the Phoenix Ballroom in Waco.
A professor at Baylor Law School received the Section award from the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law section of the American Bar Association.
As part of this semester’s leadership lecture series, a former Baylor football player-turned-principal counseled students to stand out by making a difference in their schools.
The Bill Daniel Student Center Den came alive Wednesday with the activity and enthusiasm of the racial and culturally diverse members of Multicultural Greek Council organizations at their annual Meet the Greeks event. Representatives from each of the member organizations manned booths and presented brief performances showcasing the character of their organization.

All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The event was created in response to TPUSA’s presence on campus, but speakers and organizers consistently emphasized that the gathering was not merely reactive. Instead, it functioned as a faith-centered call to action, rooted in Christian teaching and expressed through civic engagement.
Waco Adapt is creating a space where individuals can continue building strength after physical therapy ends, offering accessible fitness options for those transitioning out of rehabilitation.

The low hum of steel guitars and neon-lit nostalgia will soon echo through Foster Pavilion. On Oct. 2, Baylor will trade sneakers and basketballs for cowboy boots and two-stepping when rising country artist Braxton Keith brings his high-and-lonesome Texas sound to Waco with the “Real Damn Deal” tour.
