Kappa Kappa Gamma hosted its annual Kappa Karnival Thursday night, complete with an extensive lineup of vendors, carnival food, caricature artists, face painting, fraternity-run carnival games and more. The event concluded with the inaugural Karnival Afterparty featuring “Cool Kids” artist Echosmith.
Family Weekend will feature a variety of attractions for all students on Friday and Saturday, including food trucks, local vendors and family worship. But for multiple-generation students, Family Weekend looks more like a reunion.
According to Marcos Landin, primary blood drive coordinator, the Carter BloodCare mission statement is to “save lives by making transfusion possible.” He said blood is a constant need in the medical field, and a one-pint donation can save up to three lives.

Once news headlines began appearing about Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and how his wife were removed from Venezuela, most people scratched their heads in confusion, wondering where the news came from and why it happened.
“Parents have a significant impact on the value system and the ideological system that children develop over time. We’re all impacted by the messages that we hear growing up in our parents’ home,” McAninch said.
