Dr. Barbara Castanheira Endl, an assistant professor of physics, is preparing to publish the results of her research on white dwarf stars. Her focus was to understand the structure and components of the stars. Due to their very small and faint appearance and being at the final stage of star evolution, studying them is often on the fringes of telescopic capabilities.
Baylor’s campus recreation program, Outdoor Adventure, offers a variety of getaway trips for students during the fall semester. Outdoor activities featured on these trips include kayaking, hiking, rock climbing and more.
A settlement was reached Monday in the Title IX lawsuit involving 15 women against Baylor University. After a legal process that took more than seven years, the case was settled during a mediation ordered by the court, occurring from May 9 to Sept. 15 in Austin. The details of the settlement remain confidential.
“People don’t realize we have over 23 aircrafts sitting painted like Baylor colors not too far from campus,” Sloane said. “People can visualize a chemistry lab — we have a lab — ours are just at the airport with planes. We have an incredibly robust program.”

“Parents have a significant impact on the value system and the ideological system that children develop over time. We’re all impacted by the messages that we hear growing up in our parents’ home,” McAninch said.
