Less than a day after winning her second national championship as Baylor’s head coach, a confident Kim Mulkey returned to the Ferrell Center Wednesday with her Lady Bears basketball team and told a large crowd of fans to prepare for another Final Four appearance in 2013.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday that the Justice Department will respond “appropriately” to a federal appellate judge in Texas who demanded a letter recognizing federal courts’ authority to strike down laws passed by Congress.
The 2012 “Seminary Day” at Baylor will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Bobo Spiritual Life Center and will feature at least 20 seminaries and divinity schools from around the nation.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election.
