A collision at 12:10 p.m. today involving two 18-wheelers has closed the portion of I-35 running south between University Parks Drive and the 500 block where Fazoli’s and McDonald’s are located.

“Women may think violence against women is ok because those are all the behaviors that we see,” said Dr. Mia Moody-Ramirez, associate professor of journalism, public relations and new media. “Hopefully through this panel we can learn how to navigate through these messages. Sometimes you should avoid them, but its really impossible to avoid them completely.”

No. 9 Baylor softball is off to a hot start in the 2015 season, and things didn’t cool down for the Bears as they took four straight wins at the Northwestern State University Demon Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

The No. 3 Lady Bears stayed perfect in the Big 12 after they eked out a 70-68 victory against the Texas Longhorns on Sunday in Austin. Baylor (22-1, 11-0) is well atop the Big 12 with a two-game lead over the second-place Oklahoma Sooners.

The No. 10 Baylor softball team didn’t just need one win to advance to tomorrow’s championship game, but they needed to defeat Texas A&M-Corpus Christi twice on Saturday afternoon.

Despite a couple of errors and a close draw in each match, the Bears came away with a 6-3 win in pool play and a 3-0 win in bracket play over the Islanders to remain undefeated at the Getterman Classic.

Baylor Equestrian continued its impressive season with an 11-8 win over former-Big 12 Conference rival No. 6 Texas A&M at Willis Family Equestrian Center on Saturday. The Bears remain undefeated (10-0) and have maintained the No. 1 ranking in the country since late October.

The No. 6 Baylor women’s tennis team has gotten off to a hot start in the 2015 dual-match season, and the Lady Bears exhibited their current state of dominance with four-straight shutouts on Friday and Sunday to continue their unbeaten season at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
