Senior Day is always a special day for Baylor softball, but it could not have ended in better fashion for Baylor’s four members of the Class of 2014.
Sophomore designated player Linsey Hays really wanted a hit. She came up to bat in a tie game in the bottom of the seventh inning with an out on the board and extra innings threatening. She had Baylor’s only other RBI, a double down the left field line in the second inning to score sophomore third baseman Sarah Smith, and her demeanor told us she wanted another.
Sometimes, all you need is a spark. Coming off of a dominant 7-1 win against UTSA on Wednesday, it seemed as though the Baylor bats finally came to life once again.

A mariachi band performs Wednesday during the Hispanic Student Association’s Fiesta at the Vera Martin Daniel Plaza. The event offered free street tacos, paletas, popsicles, aquas frescas and homemade salsas in celebration of Hispanic heritage and the nearing summer.

Hines Elementary as part of Project Come Together, a field day they organize for children in these two low-performance and underprivileged elementary schools of Waco ISD.
Baylor students, faculty, staff and friends are mourning the loss of Dr. Daniel Greene, senior history lecturer, who died unexpectedly at a local hospital Wednesday. His funeral services are still being organized.
