I was so terrified of the answers to my questions that I simply stopped asking. How could the Church love gay people but hate that they were gay? Why did the same people who quoted Exodus and Deuteronomy refer to other human beings as “illegals”? Was I actually going to go to hell because my family went to church on Sunday instead of Saturday? If God was good, why was I so alone?

The Brooks Great Hall, home to Tuesday Teas and Sunday community dinners, will close its doors on May 14 after serving meals to the Baylor community since 2007.

The latest victim of private equity appears to be JOANN Fabric and Crafts, a nationwide chain of craft stores. For the second time in less than a year, JOANN filed for bankruptcy in January.
KWBU station President Joe Riley said that this decision was made as both the university and the radio station prepared budgets for the upcoming year. In previous years, Baylor provided around $209,000 to the station, as well as in-kind services such as office space and information technology services. The university will continue to provide these services to KWBU.
Norma’s Florals has inspired the Cha Community team to focus more on floral teas at this new location, though their signature milk boba teas will still be offered. Jaja Chen said she was excited to show customers more specialty teas, allowing them to be educated in both the preparation and sourcing of teas from a variety of cultures, including Taiwan and Nepal.
While food banks and delivery services look to solve the symptoms of food insecurity, Meraz said that poor nutrition is often linked to a lack of internal motivation. This, in turn, is caused by the increasing social isolation felt by many adults. According to the CDC, one in three report feeling lonely, and one in four say they lack social and emotional support.

Business students piled into a conference room at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation to begin taking their first steps toward studying abroad. Maybe the issue isn’t that it’s not a unified, independent country. Maybe the issue is that the existence of Palestine — historically, factually and prophetically — is inconvenient for the U.S.
