No. 16-ranked Baylor softball was swept for the third time in program history on Sunday as it fell to Oklahoma State 5-1 in the series finale in Stillwater, Okla.

Making her third straight start in the series, junior pitcher Gia Rodoni struggled in the early going. The Cowgirls managed three runs and four hits in the bottom of the first inning to take a 3-0 lead.

In the first two innings, the Lady Bears stranded three runners on offense while the Cowgirls brought in two more runs in the bottom of the second to extend the lead to 5-0.

Rodoni pitched a scoreless game the rest of the way, retiring nine straight batters between the second and sixth innings and finishing the game with eight strikeouts.

Baylor was only able to put one run on the board in the top of the seventh inning on an RBI double from sophomore right fielder Maddison Kettler, as the Lady Bears fell 5-1.

Senior outfielder Jessie Scroggins recorded her 250th career hit and is now just four hits away from passing Lindsey Cargill for most hits in Baylor history.

Baylor is now 30-37 all-time against Oklahoma State, including a 11-21 mark in games played in Stillwater.

The Lady Bears look to bounce back as they face Texas at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Austin.
