The process of adding and dropping courses after the first day of class just got much more convenient for students.

Thursday afternoon, the Baylor student body received an email informing them of an extension to the number of days they have to add or drop classes via BearWeb.

Students now have until Sept. 3 to add classes online and until Sept. 10 to drop them online.

“We’re very excited about this change,” said Jonathan Helm, Baylor registrar. “The goal for some time has been to make the process as efficient as possible for students and we think this is an important step.”

Previously, students had until the fifth class day to add or drop classes online. If students wanted to make a change after these dates, they were required to go to the Office of the Registrar to add a class or speak with an advisor if they wanted to drop a class.

This change by the registrar gives students two extra days to autonomously add classes online, and seven extra days to drop them.

After the 12th class day students are still required to see an advisor before dropping a class.
