Looking at Waco beyond homecoming, there are many events for alumni sticking around and students stopping by.

Outside of the traditional homecoming activities — which you should also check out — here are some upcoming events in Waco.

Texas Arbor Day Celebration | Nov. 6 | 9-11 a.m. | Pecan Bottom Park, Cameron Park Drive | Free | If you are looking for an outdoor activity that also gives back to our environment, come help clean up Cameron Park and plant trees with Keep Waco Beautiful and the City of Waco Parks and Recreation.

Winter Cloche Workshop | Nov. 6-7, 11-12 | Hourlong time slots available at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. | Magnolia Home, 418 S. Eighth St. | $86.80 including ticket fees | Create a floral keepsake for the upcoming winter months by learning to fill and arrange a glass cloche with natural materials like dried botanicals, moss and wooden mushrooms. All supplies are included.

Pressed Floral Art Workshop | Nov. 6-7, 9-12 | Hourlong time slots available at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. | Herbarium, 601 Webster Ave. | $53.29 including ticket fees | For those who love flowers and crafting, the Herbarium (formerly Seed + Supply) is offering tours of the Silos Garden and a workshop to teach attendees how to press and preserve florals and to create floral art.

Ryan Bingham | Nov. 6 | Doors open 7 p.m. | The Backyard Bar Stage and Grill, 511 S. Eighth St. | $49.95 General Admission | Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen will be bringing Americana and blues to The Backyard Friday. Fun fact: Bingham is both a musician and an actor.

Brazos Theatre November Improv Show | Nov. 7 | 7:30-9:30 p.m. | The BackPACC at The Performing Arts Community Center, 924 Austin Ave., Suite 125 | $19.18 General Admission with fees | If you are itching for some improvisation, Brazos Theatre has got your back.
