It’s Labor Day and staycation weekend, which means it’s time to take a rest from two weeks of labor and scout out the Waco scene. Here are some activities to get you out, about and away from that assignment you’ve been stuck on.

Waco Downtown Farmers Market | Sept. 5 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Bridge Street Plaza, 200 E. Bridge St. | Pull up to the farmers market this Saturday for a variety of vendors and food trucks. Since 2011, this farmers market has offered all sorts of snacks year-round.
The PACC 2-Year Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser | Sept. 5 | 6:30 p.m. | The Performing Arts Community Center, 924 Austin Ave. | $25.63 General Admission | Join The PACC in celebrating two years and enjoy live performances featuring a variety of organizations and the casts from recent and upcoming PACC shows.
UNight: Diamond Painting | Sept. 5 | 8-11 p.m. | Barfield Drawing Room, Bill Daniel Student Center | Free to students | For the on-campus student searching for arts and crafts, the Baylor Union Board provides weekly UNight activities. This Saturday, make something sparkly with diamond painting and enjoy some snacks.
It’s a 2000s Party | Sept. 5 | 9 p.m. | The Backyard Bar Stage and Grill, 511 S. Eighth St. | $26.93 General Admission | Return to Y2K at The Backyard this Saturday. This event will feature everyone’s favorite tunes from the 2000s.
Adult Skate Night | Sept. 10 | 8-10:30 p.m. | Skate Waco, 401 Towne Oaks Drive | $10 | If schoolwork has you stuck and you’re looking for a way to blow off steam, glide over the Skate Waco for adult skate night. Grab your friends, strap on some skates and roll your worries away.
