    Armed robbery reported near campus

    Campus Safety Alert – Armed Robbery Reported This Morning Near Campus

    Baylor and Waco Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 8:10 a.m. today at the La Mirage Apartments, 909 Baylor Ave. The suspect in the robbery was last seen on Baylor Avenue headed west toward 10th Street. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’ 8”, in his mid-20s with a goatee beard/mustache and was seen wearing a black/gray jacket and blue jeans.

    The victim in the robbery was not a Baylor student and was not injured in the incident.

    Students are reminded to be alert to their surroundings and to not place themselves in an isolated situation regardless of whether they are on or off campus. Should students observe something suspicious in nature on or near the campus, they are encouraged to contact Baylor Police at (254) 710-2222.
