Baylor freshman Quincy Miller will make the jump to the NBA next season, Baylor athletics confirmed today. Despite announcing on April 10 that he would be return to play another year with the Baylor, Miller told Yahoo Sports’ Marc J. Spears that he felt he rushed his initial decision and has since changed his mind.

Miller averaged 10.6 points last season, good for fourth on the team. Miller was a 35 percent 3-point shooter and shot 81 percent from the free throw line.

While the consensus among many NBA scouts says Miller is too small to play in the NBA at 219 pounds, Miller told Yahoo Sports he has put on nine pounds of muscle since the last Bears game and hopes to reach 230 by the start of the next NBA season.
