WACO — Baylor has signed three Texas high school standouts to national letters of intent, including one of the nation’s top recruits.

Isaiah Austin, a 7-foot, 215-pound center from Grace Prep in Arlington, is considered among the top five prospects in the country. He can pass, dribble and shoot and also has defensive skills.

The others who signed Wednesday were 6-4 guard Lynden Rose from Westbury Christian High in Houston and 6-11 power forward Chad Rykhoek (RY-cook) from Fort Worth Christian.

Rose was named to the 2010 USA Youth Olympic Games teams and was part of the USA men’s developmental national team’s training in 2010. Rykhoek, whose mother attended Baylor, had eight dunks in Fort Worth Christian’s season opener.
