Big 12 sets tentative 2011 season schedule

The Big 12’s 2011 conference games has been tentatively set by the 10-member conference; the only change from the previous announcement for Baylor was the delay of the game against Texas for national television. The dates are subject to changes for media broadcast and the game start times have not been set.

Baylor’s annual Battle of the Brazos game against Texas A&M is scheduled for Oct. 15. Homecoming 2011 will take place against Missouri on Nov. 5. Its recent neutral-site series against Texas Tech is set for Nov. 26 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Its final game, against the Longhorns on Dec. 3, will be televised by ABC.

In addition, BaylorBears.com no longer lists a 2012 away game against Rice. When the round-robin conference schedule was first announced, one of the Bears’ four nonconference games needed to be dropped.

The Big 12 previously announced the framework schedule for alternating years.
