Baylor pulled off the upset over No. 25 Ole Miss on Friday for the program’s eighth ranked win under head coach Mitch Thompson. The victory looks to be a turning point, not only for the season, but in the program’s rebuild.

Baylor left Round Rock with a disappointing 0-3 record this weekend. While the Bears did not perform like they hoped, they remain confident and are looking to bounce back.

Baylor entered the Round Rock Classic on cloud nine after dominating its first four games. The Bears were rudely awakened as they finished winless with 42 strikeouts over the weekend.

With No. 7 Oregon State, No. 18 Southern Miss and Purdue on the docket, the Bears will look to sustain early momentum their first neutral-site weekend at Dell Diamond for the 7th annual Round Rock Classic.
