Hosted by the Baylor chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta and the Office of Pre-Health Studies, the event provided a bridge between undergraduate aspirations and professional reality. The symposium featured representatives from over 40 professional schools, ranging from medical and dental programs to veterinary and physical therapy schools. Vivan Huynh, AED vice president of scholarly events, said her own experience as a pre-health student motivated the event.

During International Business Week, experts discussed the evolving challenges of global trade and encouraged Baylor students to build relationships, take risks, and use Baylor’s trade compliance courses to gain a competitive edge.
Szymanski, a marketing professor by trade, plans to use his background to make sure employers, colleges and alumni understand the value of Baylor Business. He also announced plans to enhance student experiences through continued growth of international education, a focus on internships, the implementation of AI in all classes and more combined graduate degree programs.
A group of Baylor students in an advertising campaign class decided to partner up with AC Hotel by Marriott in downtown Waco to provide an opportunity for student organizations to receive funds while helping a local business. The result is the AC Hotel grant.
Starting next spring, the introduction to finance class will be held outside of the business school’s campus. Instead, it will be taught in Bennett Auditorium in the Draper Academic Building. According to Assistant Dean for Operations Anthony Lapes, it’s the first time the business school will be regularly holding classes outside Foster.
Paul L. Foster is deferring his service on Baylor’s Board of Regents to serve in a position of leadership at the University of Texas System Board of Regents.
The decision was announced earlier today by Baylor University Board of Regents Chair Richard Willis.
