The No. 6 Lady Bears stacked on more accolades to their Big 12 regular season title as the Big 12 individual awards came pouring in on Wednesday.
The No. 6 Lady Bears (27-3, 16-2) capped off their extraordinary 2015 season with a 75-65 win over Texas Tech (15-15, 5-13) on Monday at the Ferrell Center. Baylor looked to bounce back from last week, which saw the team’s first two losses of 2015 against Oklahoma and Iowa State.
The No. 3 Lady Bears secured the outright Big 12 title with a dominant 91-75 performance on Saturday against the TCU Horned Frogs at the Ferrell Center. Saturday’s game was one of four chances Baylor had to guarantee a non-tie for the Big 12 trophy.
The Lady Bears started the season with a huge question mark about them. Two players were perhaps the only shoe-ins to the starting five — sophomore forward Nina Davis and junior guard Niya Johnson. Both played immensely valuable roles to Baylor’s conference championship run last season.
Baylor women’s basketball has done it again: The No. 3 Lady Bears clinched a share of the Big 12 Conference title for the fifth straight season after a gritty 67-60 win over Texas Tech in Lubbock on Wednesday. Baylor can still win the title outright with four games remaining in the regular season.

The No. 3 Lady Bears extended their winning streak to 17 games after a 68-46 blowout of the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday at the Ferrell Center. Baylor, still undefeated in conference play, travels to Fort Worth on Tuesday to face TCU.
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Lady Bears won their fourth straight Big 12 title Monday night after beating the West Virginia Mountaineers 74-71. Baylor was led by freshman forward Nina Davis, the youngest player in the starting lineup, in a back-and-forth, physical title game thriller that saw nine lead changes.
After an impressive night against Oklahoma State on Sunday, Mulkey said she likes the way the No. 7 Lady Bears (20-3, 10-1) rose in terms of confidence not just from her star players, but from her team as a whole in their past few games.
