Through Baylor Buddies, Baylor students serve as mentors to students in schools in the Waco Independent School District. They are partnered with Communities In Schools, which assists mentors with their mentee’s specific needs.

Center for Global Engagement ambassadors provide resources and mentorship for international students all year round. Ambassadors help put on initiatives and events for international students and are focused on welcoming them and connecting them to the Baylor community.
While leaving home for college can be daunting, the freshman class is in good hands thanks to the faculty-in-residence program, whose mission it is to make Baylor feel like a second home.
Having started teaching at Baylor in the fall of 1986, Parsons is the longest-serving professor in the religion department. Feeling a call to ministry as early as his sophomore year of high school, he majored in both religion and philosophy at Campbell University, which went on to cultivate his passion for Christian scholarship.
Throughout his years at Brooks, Sriram said he and his wife have had enlightening conversations with residents on deep topics such as relationships and marriage. By interacting with the students on this level, Sriram said he and his family serve as a sort of second family for many students.
