While professors Sam Henderson and Maverick Moore have worked extensively in the short film space — while also co-teaching a class on it in the film department — the most recent project for the duo, a short film titled “Ado”, has made the shortlist for Best Live Action Short Film at the Oscars.

In film and digital media classes like production methods II (PMII) and short film production, students are exposed to the process of making short films, preparing them for their careers at Baylor and beyond.
Baylor alumnus Maverick Moore directed the film as a graduate student alongside fellow graduate and undergraduate students from the Baylor theater and film departments. He spent almost a full year developing the project, which will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival in France this May.
