I’ve seen competition bring people together in miraculous ways, unifying them under the bond of wanting to win. It turns individuals into teammates, while unexpected leaders often rise to the top, rallying people together toward a common goal.

“I think a struggle we have at Baylor is that we’ve settled for the lowest bar of being a believer in Jesus,” Bowden said. “Some people may take the step of being a disciple of Jesus and getting to know Him in full relationship and going to places where He would have gone. But very few of us step to being a disciple-maker, of where I invest in people.”
Phi Iota Alpha will host a leadership workshop led by Matt Burchett, Director of Student Activities, who will speak on what good leadership entails and how leadership within the Baylor community and student organizations can be more effective.
It started out as a chore, an unwelcome, early Saturday morning event they knew nothing about.
The Baylor men’s basketball team arrived at the Ferrell Center at 7 a.m., where they were given fatigues and boots and told to board a school bus.
