About 400 Stephanie Garber fans gathered Thursday evening at the Waco Hippodrome Theatre to hear Stephanie Garber chat about her new book, “The Mirror of Infinite Endings,” a companion novella to her “Once Upon a Broken Heart” series.

Encore is a rooftop bar expanding two stories, but pulling off a renovation of this size is not easy.
The festival began with an introduction from Senior Lecturer Maverick Moore, who set the stage for the 17 short films from both graduate and undergraduate film students, spanning roughly two hours.
The Waco Hippodrome Grand Opening Celebration will take place over six days from Nov. 14 to Nov. 19, and will feature events that cater to diverse audiences. Tickets for the grand opening will be available Monday, and can be purchased from the box office at 254 296-9000.
All is not lost for the Hippodrome.
A development company has big plans to renovate and manage the once great movie theater that hosted everything from Broadway plays to silent film to children’s shows.
The Hippodrome, located at 724 Austin Ave., has received $423,900 in Tax Increment Financing zone funds approved by the Waco City Council last week. The council approved $1.4 million total in downtown renovations including the Hippodrome.
