After staying away from any issues involving guns, Starbucks recently asked customers to keep guns out of their stores. Starbucks did not ban guns, they just politely asked customers to keep guns out of their more than 12,000 stores nationwide.

That doesn’t mean that customers in states where guns are legal can’t still walk in to Starbucks with a gun and get their frappuccinos, cappuccinos or lattes. Starbucks just doesn’t want firearms in its stores.

Concealed handgun licenses may become more affordable thanks to a bill filed by Rep. Charles “Doc” Anderson.

Anderson filed House Bill 2759 on March 7 with the intent of capping the CHL application cost at $95. The proposed cost would be $45 less than the $140 Texas citizens currently pay. The bill would prevent the current renewal fee of $70 to increase.

In the wake of recent gun violence, one Texas bill may impact college campuses and their safety.

Texas State Sen. Brian Birdwell, who represents Waco and surrounding District 22 counties, recently filed legislation to allow students, faculty and staff with a concealed handgun license to carry firearms for personal protection on college campuses.
