Baylor and TCU brought another form of the school rivalry to Waco this weekend as the sixth ranked Bears women’s tennis team fought off an early deficit to take down the No. 21-ranked Horned Frogs 4-1 Sunday afternoon at the Hurd Tennis Center.

Throughout high school and during my time here at Baylor, I have been described as a couple of things. One word seems to be repetitive: organized.
After the final buzzer sounds at the Ferrell Center tonight, No. 14 Baylor men’s basketball seniors Kenny Chery and Royce O’Neale will walk off the court for the final time. The Bears’ final Big 12 matchup against Texas Tech at the Ferrell Center marks the final time fans will see both senior players sporting their Baylor jerseys.
When fans and spectators sit down to watch a Baylor basketball game at the Ferrell Center, they will notice a lot of energy comes from behind the basket. Originally a club, the Baylor Bear Pit looks to create a unique fan experience for each spectator that walks through the doors of the stadium.
No. 7 Baylor softball has jumped out to a 9-0 start – the best record since the 14-0 season start in 2011. However, that spotless record will be put to the test as Baylor hosts No. 2 Oregon tonight at Getterman Stadium to kick off the 2015 Baylor Invitational. This is the first ranked opponent the Bears will face this season, putting a lot of importance on the nationally televised matchup.
If you ask any one of my high school classmates, they will probably say that I did everything in high school. It’s true; I was in 18 school activities, including five Academic University Interscholastic League events while still staying in the top 10 percent of my class.
If No. 6 Baylor women’s tennis had any worry about competing in two matches within hours of each other, the team could just look up at the scoreboard and take that worry away.
No. 20 Baylor men’s basketball returns home to the Ferrell Center as the No. 19 Texas Longhorns come into town for another top 20 matchup on Saturday.
When the No. 10 Baylor men’s tennis team wants to defend their home courts, they mean it. The Bears obliterated Louisiana-Lafayette 7-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Hurd Tennis Center for their third straight sweep this season.
The Baylor Bears played in its fifth straight bowl game this year, something that has never happened in program history. I was lucky enough to cover the 79th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington as part of the Lariat staff over the break. It was exhausting, exhilarating, thrilling and memorable all at the same time.
