The Data Science Club at Baylor prepares students for a career in data science and related fields while also helping build a community among its members. The club organizes info sessions with companies, game nights, professional development workshops and real world projects.

While Columbia was nice, Terrell said what sets Baylor apart is its students. His Christian faith allows him to build relationships with students to find their “sense of purpose.”
Alford describes how it can be hard to remain unbiased when analyzing responses of a subject group she is part of, being a daughter herself.
“We had 27 competitors this year, which was a nice increase from last year,” Tinker said. “The last years after COVID-19 have been a little difficult. That’s been a common element in a lot of student organizations that I’ve been a part of.”
