In 2024, wanting to share the experience of being a police chief with more children, Sheryl Victorian utilized her knowledge of playwriting to publish a children’s book inspired by the community of Waco.

“That’s always the best part of opening a new exhibit — seeing how the public responds to it,” said Nall. “It’s been wonderful. It has exceeded expectations.”

A library is a hub filled with diverse voices, writing styles and stories. Through exploring all the options, children learn how to make sense of the world, its inhabitants and, most importantly, themselves.
