Students interested in meeting with company recruiters in their respective fields of study can attend the Technology Career Panel today to meet with professionals in the workforce.

Career Services, Management Information Systems and the School of Engineering and Computer Science are teaming up to give students an opportunity to meet with company recruiters over dinner.

Many struggling undergrads have wondered if all the time and money spent on a four-year education is worth it. This might become a more legitimate concern to one who reads new statistics published by the Texas Workforce Commission on Jan. 19.

Students in the market for an internship or post-graduation job can potentially find employment at Baylor Career Services’ STEM Job Fair, Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Cashion Academic Center. This is the first successful year to hold the fair in the last two years due to the previous state of the economy.

Students looking for a leg up in job hunting can have their resumes reviewed by the Career Services staff from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the common area of the Sid Richardson Building.

In the midst of preparing for final exams, maintaining good grades and counting down the days to graduation, searching for a job still lies on the horizon for many seniors. Over the next several weeks, Career Services is offering several opportunities to students seeking assistance in their job search.

Career Services will host a nonprofit and government job fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday in the Barfield Drawing room of the Bill Daniel Student Center. Come prepared by researching the companies, dressing well and bringing a resume.

Baylor Career Services will host a career fair from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ferrell Center. The event is open to all students.

After the cancellation of the 2010 STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) Job Fair due to jobs cut by the economic recession, recruiters from more than 15 companies are returning to Baylor for this year’s job fair.
