Baylor Law School hosted its annual People’s Law School event on Saturday, featuring an assortment of volunteer lawyers, judges and legal experts who taught classes designed to educate the public about the law.
Do your research, find someone who aligns well with your beliefs and stand by them on the ballot, even if it’s likely they won’t win. Your conscience can be clearer knowing you voted for someone you truly believed in and are not just settling for someone who sort of represents what you believe. Plus, the more votes they get, the more recognition they will receive. Ultimately, an independent vote represents a thought-out vote and is a vote well spent.
I believe the new age of technology should be embraced, and it’s already beginning to be. This is what sets Generation Z apart: growing up in a world consumed by tech.
If you choose to surround yourself with peers who don’t acknowledge self-growth or well-being, you most likely never will either. However, if you decide today that your peers are flattening the tires of your energy bus, new revelations will naturally come your way. Remember that good leaders are often surrounded by great people.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
