The 2024 Baylor Giving Day raised more than $2.24 million from the Baylor Family on Tuesday to fund academic initiatives and student scholarships. Toby Barnett, associate vice president and campaign director for the Office of Advancement, said the Office of Advancement routinely works with alumni and parents, but anyone can be a donor.
It’s not every day that math is in the news, but Baylor professors have brought it to the spotlight. TIn fall 2023, the group published Geometric Harmonic Analysis (GHA), a five-volume research monograph in which each volume is 1,000 pages.
Brown said the goal of the Accounting Society is to expose students to the field of accounting in a low-stress environment. What will be notable about the club is that anyone can join, even if they have not declared an accounting major.
Daniel Haddad, associate director for orientation programs, said ongoing construction at Draper Academic Building impacted the available spaces for the sessions. Therefore, the second day of orientation will take place exclusively in the Welcome Center.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
