After two air conditioning leaks in Russell Gymnasium that caused flood damage to equipment and the facility space, Baylor’s Fencing Club is having difficulties functioning and retaining member participation.
Baylor has enacted a change in its policy toward “expressive activities,” charging student organizations up to $3,500 for police and fire safety fees for events that qualify.
According to the Multicultural Affairs website, “The Leave Your Mark 100-level training promotes cultural humility on campus by introducing the concepts of personal identity, appreciation of differences, and understanding of microaggressions.”
Currently entering its fifth year, the Certificate in Global Engagement is giving over 400 students an official outlet to explore multicultural opportunities and become globally focused.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
