This week in Waco is anything but uneventful. Whether you’re into painting, gaming or getting crazy at concerts, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy.

Asian Mosaic Night, hosted by the Department of Multicultural Affairs, celebrated diversity at Baylor by bringing students, faculty and staff together through music, food and tabling at 5:30 p.m. in the Barfield Drawing Room at the Bill Daniel Student Center. It was also an opportunity for students to learn about Baylor’s Coalition of Asian Students.

New York Times best-selling author and political correspondent Tim Alberta believes November’s presidential election is a turning point for American Christians. Alberta lectured on the intersection of American politics and Christianity at the J.M. Dawson Institute of Church-State Studies annual fall lecture on Wednesday evening in the Armstrong Browning Library.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
