Passion is coming to Waco. The Passion 2012 University Tour, which is traveling to 12 college cities across America, will arrive on Monday.
Newly signed Uproar Records artist Layne Lynch began playing music in front of an audience when she sat down at one of the public pianos at Baylor. The junior theater performance major from Dallas, had a talent that drew crowds around her, and eventually landed her a spot with the student-run record label this semester.
Last Saturday, the Baylor defense stepped on the field for Rice’s second drive of the second half with the Bears leading 35-17. Despite the lead, the atmosphere in Floyd Casey Stadium was dead.
With two goals and two assists this season, sophomore midfielder Karlee Summey has taken full advantage of the chance she has been given. Summey has appeared in all 12 games for the Bears and had the game-winning goal 45 seconds into overtime Sunday against Weber State.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
