My favorite films are those that leave me thinking long after I walk out of the theater. When it’s a borderline low-budget film ($10 million) like “Heretic,” which released in theaters Nov. 8, the thoughtfulness makes it all the more impressive.
The tortured artist takes the stage for this week’s Tunesday. If you’re experiencing loss of love this week, tune in for some resonance with these somber artists and perhaps a good cry. Hopefully next week is a bit cheerier, but for now, these sad songs kind of slap.
Despite a 17-2 run in the fourth quarter, No. 12 Baylor women’s basketball couldn’t find its footing until too late as the Bears’ comeback effort came up short. Senior guard Jada Walker inspired the charge with a game-leading 24 points as the green and gold fell to Oregon, 76-74, on Sunday night at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene.
The Bears scored 38 points in the paint in a game they never trailed en route to a 72-67 win over No. 16 Arkansas.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
