Postseason baseball is here, as well as college football and cooler weather. What most people may not care about, but I am here to advocate, is the arrival of the 2011-2012 hockey season.
I’ve been a baseball fan for quite some time now. I’ve heard of every statistic one can imagine, and I agree that just as Billy Beane found out, numbers aren’t everything in baseball. But at least one MLB player this season, in perhaps the weakest decision I’ve seen in a long time, thought one statistic was so important that even dignity was worth losing for it.
Baylor’s libraries are aiming to increase the number of endowed internships sponsored through the Sue Margaret Hughes Library Internship Fund, with the ultimate goal of two per library.
Students and faculty will have an opportunity to discuss unhealthy relationships, sexual assault and other issues at a forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Kayser Auditorium.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
