As an annual campuswide event, Christmas on Fifth celebrates many well-known American holiday traditions. However, Baylor’s Hispanic Student Association brought Hispanic culture to the event this year with its tamale-making workshop.
From pioneering Spanish-led tours at local colleges to planning a new mentorship program, Navegando has been active in promoting positive futures for high school students who are immigrants in Waco.
Baylor football officially introduced new offensive coordinator Jake Spavital as part of a press conference on Monday at McLane Stadium.
“I was going to be in retail. I wanted to be a buyer and go to New York,” Brunson said. “And a few months before I was going to go, I prayed about it, and I woke up the next morning, and it was just very clear. God said, ‘I want you to teach at the college level.'”

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

MSPL follows the model “Pray, Stay, Raise and Go” when facing disasters, according to Sarah Walker, BearAid senior coordinator for service. Directly following the disaster, BearAid stays in Waco, allowing first responders to do their jobs and praying for those affected. Now, BearAid and MSPL are in the raise phase.
