As heavy winds blew throughout Waco, a bigger storm brewed in the parking lot of The Backyard, which was converted to a stage to hold the 3,000 fans who came to see 17-year-old country phenomenon, Ty Myers.
When senior Cristina Tiglea transferred to Baylor from Texas Tech over the summer, she wanted to play in big moments. She did just that, clinching a 4-3 Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals victory for the fourth-seeded Bears over No. 5 seed Arizona Friday afternoon at the Hurd Tennis Center.

Needing 11th place or higher to become eligible for the postseason, Baylor women’s golf squeezes by, placing 11th in the Big 12 Championship. They shot 49-over 901 after the final round on Thursday at Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley, Texas.
