Baseball, men’s tennis and women’s tennis all lost to TCU this weekend, while softball bounced back and women’s basketball landed a new transfer.
Tiriah Kelley delivered a top-10 national time in her outdoor 200 debut, while Molly Haywood reclaimed the pole vault podium. Baylor backed it up with relay improvements and personal bests across a loaded field at the Tom Jones Memorial meet.
Baylor held the advantage heading into a Sunday doubleheader against TCU, taking game one 11-4 on Friday night. the Horned Frogs spoiled the Bears’ chance at a series win with a two-game sweep on Sunday.
No. 2 seed TCU took care of business against No. 3 seed Baylor men’s tennis, sweeping the Bears 4-0 in the Big 12 Championship semifinals.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election.
