The Camp Staff Commissioning Ceremony recognized students preparing to serve at camps across the country in roles ranging from counselors to program staff. The event featured food, fellowship and remarks from President Linda Livingstone and first gent Brad Livingstone, serving as both a send-off and a moment of reflection before summer.
The student-run organization Apparel Professionals hosted a clothing swap on Fountain Mall on Monday, where students could easily refresh their wardrobes while embracing a more sustainable approach to fashion.
Nothing feels normal anymore. There is an underlying sexualization of everything, even though it is completely unnecessary. That’s the problem — people should be able to scroll through social media without suggestive content being forced on them.
Excuses like “this person did this” or “I should’ve been different because …” do not make the world better. Everyone wants to sit atop a pedestal, but wants to be placed there rather than working to earn it.

Rumors spread on social media that same afternoon that someone had pulled a gun around the apartment complex, to which Waco PD spokesperson Cierra shipley said via email no weapon was located at the time of the arrest. The initial reason for the first 911 call to the apartment complex is currently unknown.
Former President Donald Trump held his first official 2024 presidential campaign rally Saturday, and drew tens of thousands of supporters to the Waco Regional Airport.
“From Waco to El Paso, from Houston to Dallas and from the Red River’s of the Rio Grande, the people of Texas live and breathe the fiercest spirit of independence,” Trump said.
“He won Texas in 2016 and 2020, and won McLennan County by over 20 percentage points,” Flavin said. “He has a lot of support here compared to, say, Austin. If he was going to come to Texas, it makes sense.”

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”
