Families filled the Mayborn Museum on Saturday afternoon and for the fourth year in a row, hosted the Community Offering or “Ofrenda” in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring an array of artwork, activities and performances.
Urban renewal has since demolished many homes and buildings in Calle Dos and Sandtown, another Hispanic neighborhood, but the inaugural Hispanic History Month Walking Tour aimed to bring them back through storytelling.
For the first time, Baylor’s theatre department shone a spotlight on up-and-coming playwrights and actors this past weekend through its bi-annual New Play Initiative, a program dedicated to showcasing and providing feedback to rising playwrights.
Anchored by a disciplined defense that turned stops into attack, Baylor closed its Kansas road swing with a 3-0 victory over Kansas State. With consecutive shutouts, the Bears continue Big 12 play riding a wave of momentum.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”
