Cars lined the streets on Thursday as students arrived at the newly renovated Kokernot Hall for Move2BU. The all-women first-year community reopened this fall after a yearlong renovation and welcomed roughly 160 students.
For incoming Bears, the first week at Baylor is about more than unpacking boxes. From worship and traditions to new friendships and mentorship, Welcome Week is designed to help students find their place in the Baylor community.

Additionally, it’s wise to steer clear of fake weapons or items that might resemble real weapons, as these can create misunderstandings and cause alarm among others.
A group of Baylor students in an advertising campaign class decided to partner up with AC Hotel by Marriott in downtown Waco to provide an opportunity for student organizations to receive funds while helping a local business. The result is the AC Hotel grant.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
