Professor of preaching Dr. Jared E. Alcántara has been named director of the Kyle Lake Center for Effective Preaching, which prepares students at Truett Theological Seminary and offers continuing education for other pastors and ministers. In this role, Alcántara will help put to use a $1.25 million grant Baylor received to assist with the Compelling Preaching Initiative.
What started as a father-son bonding experience has turned into two Guinness World Records for Baylor philosophy professor Dr. Alexander Pruss.
The online Baylor University Crime Log is now functioning after not being updated from Sept. 20 to Nov. 6 due to a technical issue. Following the fix, information for 73 cases was uploaded.
During its November meeting on Friday, the Baylor Board of Regents gave updates on the university’s new strategic planning process, approved four new graduate degree programs and gave updates on the Memorial to Enslaved Persons.
