During the Beall-Russell Lecture in the Humanities on Monday, Dr. Doris Kearns Goodwin — a presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author — highlighted the significance of having empathy for past leaders while maintaining hope for the future.
Congress passed a stopgap spending bill, known as a continuing resolution, on Sunday, narrowly avoiding a government shutdown. The House and Senate signed the bill an hour before the deadline.
The Flutie Foundation, along with Pi Kappa Phi, hosted a 5K on campus in support of individuals with autism. The 5K served as a charity fundraiser for Pi Kappa Phi’s philanthropy and included a diverse population of participants.
The Baylor homecoming court might have been a beauty contest in the past, but it is now a celebration of an individual’s ability to represent the character and passion of the university.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
