Baylor football leads 35-0 at the half in the Bears’ first road game of the season against the Buffalo Bulls in New York.
On its opening drive, Buffalo junior wide receiver Marcus McGill dropped a ball from junior quarterback Joe Licata that would have otherwise gone for a touchdown. Instead, the Bulls were forced to punt.
Baylor then went on to score on two drives. Baylor started with the ball from the 9-yard-line, but two plays later, freshman wide receiver KD Cannon exploded for an 89-yard touchdown to put Baylor up 14-0 in the first.
On the next drive, Baylor exploded for a 1:13 drive that ended with sophomore running back Shock Linwood bursting through the line for a 24-yard touchdown to give Baylor a 21-0 lead after one.
In the second, senior quarterback Bryce Petty found junior receiver Jay Lee for a 30-yard score. Freshman running back Johnny Jefferson also found the end zone on a 14-yard score with 5:17 left in the half.
In just the half, Petty threw for 329 yards on 15-for-24 passing to go along with two touchdowns. Cannon continued his all-world performance from last week and has 171 yards and a touchdown at the half. Lee added 95 yards of his own.
Buffalo will receive the ball to open the second half.
