Sip N Skate Adult Costume Party | Oct. 1 | Skate Waco, 401 Towne Oaks Dr. | 10:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. | $10 entry fee | Kick off the Halloween spirit by attending this skating costume party. You must be 18+ to skate and 21+ to sip.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s | Oct. 2 | 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. | Brazos Park East, 3516 N. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd. | Free | This two-mile walk through Cameron Park helps to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s research and funding.

Waco’s Downtown Farmers Market | Oct. 2 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Courthouse Parking Lot, 500 Washington Ave. | Free | An assortment of local vendors that provide products such as produce, meats and greenery.

The Edison Marketplace Vendor Fair | Oct. 2 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | 2601 Franklin Ave. | Free | This event is family friendly and will include music, a bounce house, face painting, food, craft vendors and more.

Pumpkin Patch at Sancho Rancho | Every weekend in October | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | 981 Coyote Run | $10 per car | This family-friendly event will include food trucks, games, a petting zoo, hayrides and more.

Brazos Market | Oct. 2 | 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Free entry | Brazos Theatre, 7524 Bosque Blvd. Unit Q | Shop at the local Brazos Theatre with its unique vendors and snacks in the concession stand.

Meet the Scientists: Pesky Pesticides | Oct. 2 | Noon – 2 p.m. | Mayborn Museum Complex | $10 for adults, $8 for children (This exhibit is included in the price of admission) | Sarah VerPloeg from Baylor University teaches about the harm that pesticides can cause outside of what they are intended for.

Coming Home Fall Festival | Oct. 2 | Noon – 8:30 p.m. | St. Jerome Catholic Church, 9820 Chapel Road | Join St. Jerome Catholic Church in celebrating its restored church building with food, activities, games and more. There will be craft and food vendors on-site as well as activities for kids all day and a movie at night.

The Backyard’s Sixth Anniversary | Oct. 3 | 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. | Free entry | The Backyard, 511 S. Eighth St. | Come out to the Backyard for its Anniversary Blowout with food, drinks, raffles, door prizes and more. There will also be live music throughout the day and into the night.
