WASHINGTON (AP) — The “March for Our Lives” rallies are a call to action by student survivors of last month’s school shooting in Florida that left 17 people dead.
Hundreds of thousands of people attended youth-led, anti-gun rallies across the United States and the world on Saturday, calling on lawmakers to tighten gun control in order to stop mass shootings and gun violence.
The Washington, D.C. event had thousands thronging Pennsylvania Avenue to hear speakers including survivors of the recent school shooting in Parkland, Fla., and singers like Miley Cyrus.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
