“Generation Found” is a documentary about one community in Houston coming together to fight the addiction epidemic impacting youth.

Tuesday, Sept. 19

The Bundle Magazine Coffee Hour

Location: Castellaw Communications Center, 2nd Floor | Cost: Free | Time: 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Bundle Magazine, a student-run multimedia magazine supported by Baylor’s journalism department, will be hosting a coffee hour with Former Congressman Chet Edwards. There will be coffee and pastries served.

Stilettos to Stetsons: Women on the Trail

Location: Mayborn Museum Complex | Cost: $8 | Time: 11 a.m.

Former British schoolteacher, Janice Grelle became a female cattle rancher in Texas, trading in her stilettos. Grelle will be lecturing about her new book “Stilettos to Stetsons” and about the type of women on the Chisholm Trail. The book is available to be bought and signed by the author. There will also be coffee and pastries served before the lecture.

Live Music: Tim McNary

Folk singer Tim McNary will perform his album “Above the Trees” that recounts his last five years, enduring band break-ups, depression and discovering meditation.

Live Music: Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October

Location: Common Grounds | Cost: $25 | Time: 8 p.m.

Justin Furstenfeld, rock band Blue October’s lead frontman, will surely have Baylor students and Waco locals standing outside Common Grounds in a line spewing out on the sidewalk. Join Furstenfeld during his “An Open Book” tour.

John McClanahan: The Velasco Paintings

Former Baylor Art Department Chair John McClanahan’s collection “The Velasco Paintings“ will feature abstract landscape paintings and water color works from Aug. 22 to Sept. 24 at Martin Museum of Art.

Climate Change Art Exhibit: “The Art of Survival”

Location: 1121 Speight Ave. | Cost: Free | Time: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Closed Mondays

Waco Friends of Peace/ Climate opened the art exhibit, “The Art of Survival,” Sept. 1 at Terry and Jo’s Food for Thought restaurant. Artists can submit art that explores the impact of climate change and pollution on the environment. The art exhibit will be open until Oct. 1.
