The No. 16 Lady Bears softball team defeated Texas State 7-3 after pulling through a ten-inning game at Bobcat Field in San Marcos. This is Baylor’s second win over the Bobcats this season.

“While you might hope for an easier win, if I were to draw up the game to get us prepared for Oklahoma State, it would look like that,” head coach Glenn Moore said. “Texas State challenged us in every facet of the game and made us work hard for everything.”

The Baylor Bears defeated UT Arlington on Tuesday night 14-4 at Baylor Ballpark. The win gives the Bears a winning record of 17-16.

Offensively, the Bears racked up 21 hits as a team and capitalized on a seven-run sixth inning to go on to win by the 10-run rule. The Bears were held scoreless before the offense suddenly caught fire in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings.

Jermaine O’Neal was called for goaltending on James Harden’s last-second 3-point shot and the Houston Rockets defeated the Phoenix Suns 101-98 on Tuesday night.

Harden scored 33 points and Omer Asik tied his career high with 22 rebounds for the Rockets, who clinched a playoff berth later when the Jazz lost to Oklahoma City.

Shoni Schimmel tried to fling a long, hard bounce pass to Jude Schimmel along the right sideline — the kind of crowd-pleasing play the sisters often pull off — only to have Connecticut’s Bria Hartley pick it off and break the other way.

Soon after, Jude Schimmel appeared to be in tears as she went to the Louisville bench with three fouls in the middle of the first half, watching helplessly while her older sister’s deep jump shots kept rattling off the rim and the Cardinals fell farther and farther behind.

Fresh off of three straight bowl game appearances and back-to-back bowl wins, Baylor football looks to win the Big 12 Conference this season.

Baylor football concluded spring practice on Saturday with the annual spring game. It was a chance for Baylor fans to get a peak at this fall’s football team.

The No. 17 Lady Bears will play the Texas State Bobcats for the second time this season at 6 p.m. today in San Marcos.

The Lady Bears (29-10, 3-5 Big 12) will try to bounce back after losing three straight games against No. 1 Oklahoma. Texas State (9-28) comes in with a two-game winning streak despite its struggles.

It was a tough series for the No. 17 Baylor Lady Bears who fell to the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners 8-0 Sunday. Baylor got swept this weekend, putting them at 3-5 in Big 12 play. Breakdowns near the end of the game were a constant theme throughout this series as Oklahoma began to break away in the later innings.

It was a promising start for the No. 17 Baylor Lady Bears as they took an early lead against the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners. However, the Sooners responded with nine unanswered runs and Baylor fell to Oklahoma 9-3 on Saturday.
