The final stretch of the regular season began for Baylor baseball, but the Bears failed to start on the right foot, falling to Sam Houston State 4-2 Tuesday at Baylor Ballpark.
For the first time since 2009, Baylor baseball was swept at home by a Big 12 rival. The Bears hung in the balance late in games one and three, but the Kansas Jayhawks’ offense thumped a lethal strike to Baylor’s Big 12 championship hopes over the weekend by earning a three-game road sweep.

Sometimes, all you need is a spark. Coming off of a dominant 7-1 win against UTSA on Wednesday, it seemed as though the Baylor bats finally came to life once again.
