Men's Basketball
Drew’s Lone Star legacy was cemented into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame over the weekend.
“My dad always impressed me, the older he got, the more it was about his student-athletes and what kind of men, fathers and husbands they are,” Drew said. “When past players come in, to hear about their success and how they’re doing, personally I care most about that.”
Despite a crushing 85-76 loss to No. 6 seed Creighton University, No. 3 seed Baylor men’s basketball has a lot to look forward to in the 2023-24 season.
Women's Basketball
No. 5 Baylor women’s basketball clinched an outright Big 12 championship for the first time in 11 years after demolishing Texas Tech University 82-57 on Sunday afternoon at the Ferrell Center behind a career-high 35 points from NaLyssa Smith.

Equestrian
The Baylor equestrian team hopes to ride its way to a victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs on Friday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
The meet, which will begin at noon, marks the seventh competition for the Bears since the season began.
The Baylor equestrian team is coming off of a National Championship last season and the win of their first event of the 2012 season, The Willis Invitational. With all of their success, it is only appropriate that Baylor Nation is educated on what exactly it is that the team does. The team rides in both Western and English styles, competing in two events from each category.
From clinking spurs to pounding hooves, the Baylor equestrian team will be in full force this weekend as it travels to take on Kansas State and Oklahoma State.
“It will be a very full weekend of travel and running around,” head coach Ellen White said. “It is going to be a great time for the girls to get to know each other. One big road trip.”
The competitions this weekend will mark the team’s first Big 12 events of the season.
Tennis
The Bears fought hard for the doubles point and took victories on courts two, four and five in singles to clinch the win over Wake Forest.
The Bears are on a seven game tear taking a close win over the Horned Frogs on Thursday.
The Bears brushed up before their week off with a win over Tyler Junior College Thursday.
Golf
Toughness. That’s what Baylor women’s golf head coach Sylvia Ferdon is stressing to her team entering the spring portion of the season. Coming off one of the worst winters in her 17 seasons at Baylor, she told her team it was imperative to have mental toughness going into the season and stay the course.
